We're here for the music and the madness of life in the mountains of Northern California. Needles & Grooves aims to honor the "Grooves" of our NorCal music scene. We tend to enjoy (and cover) the jam, indie, soul, funk, folk, electronica, and bluegrass artists and bands in Nevada City, Grass Valley, Sierra Foothills, Tahoe, and the Bay. We'll stray from home every now and again, but we're here to support local talent first and foremost.

Needles & Grooves is here to help you stay on top of upcoming events (honing in on the Nevada County region for now) with weekly music schedules, recommendations, and both venue and artist features.

While celebrating the parts of life that just "Groove" is what we aim for - we're also here to write about musical opinions of which we have no authority to give, but we'll dish 'em out anyway. We'll try to keep it professional, but we won't make any promises quite yet.
